Easy driving from anywhere or if you are travelling from the west side of the country

Use the motorway network to travel to the end of the M67, take the A57 through Woolley Bridge and Brookfield, turn right before the railway viaduct (map) onto the A626 through Gamesley to Charlesworth. Follow this through the centre and turn left at the Grey Mare Pub in the centre of Charlesworth onto Town Lane, follow this up until you see the Primary school on your right, just after this turn right onto Back lane and follow the road round until you reach Boggard Lane, turn right down Boggard Lane and keep left (follow the signs).

 

Cross country or travelling from the east side of the country ...

Take the M1 to junction 37. Take the A628 through Penistone, cross the wild moors and drop into Tintwhistle. At Hollingworth take the A57 through Woolley Bridge and Brookfield, turn right before the railway viaduct (map) onto the A626 through Gamesley to Charlesworth. Follow this through the centre and turn left at the Grey Mare Pub in the centre of Charlesworth onto Town Lane, follow this up until you see the Primary school on your right, just after this turn right onto Back lane and follow the road round until you reach Boggard Lane, turn right down Boggard Lane and keep left (follow the signs).


Alternatively, if you are coming from the south on the M1, exit at junction 29, through Chesterfield onto the A619 to Baslow, the A 623 to Chapel-en-le-Frith, the A624 through Hayfield to Glossop. Exit Glossop northbound on the A57 and turn left just after the railway viaduct (map) onto the A626 through Gamesley to Charlesworth. Follow this through the centre and turn left at the Grey Mare Pub in the centre of Charlesworth onto Town Lane, follow this up until you see the Primary school on your right, just after this turn right onto Back lane and follow the road round until you reach Boggard Lane, turn right down Boggard Lane and keep left (follow the signs).
